Today I added a twitter feed to the bottom of my blog. I'll try and add small snippets of what I'm doing each day. Just scroll down to see what I'm up to. I'll try to update it with stories I'm working on or funny/interesting things that may happen during the day.

Back from the parents' place. Had a great time, it's always good (and important) to catch up with family. Alas here I am back in Columbia on a cloudy day watching the rain fall and the soft light glow through the bedroom.

Home for the holiday

One of the things I enjoy about coming home is the beautiful scenery right off the back porch. It's nice to be able to relax and return every once in a while.

I took a trip through my old archives. It's amazing how photos can shoot you back to the exact time and place you took them. Here are a couple I dusted off. They were from my stint at the Courier-Times in Sedro-Woolley Washington. Yeah, they like hyphens there.

Final Project: Back online

Sorry for the delay, my web server was being weird. Hopefully it will stay up this time. I was going to make more changes on the project, but frankly I just don't have the time or energy. I put everything I have this semester into this project, and if nothing else, I learned a great deal from it. For now, I just need to rest up and unwind before my internship starts, and I'll be photographing full-time. So here is the FINAL edit, as it stands, take it or leave it. Enjoy, and thanks for looking.

Window Shopping #1

I saw 17 minutes of free parking on a city meter. So, I stopped the car and decided to do a 17 minute sweep of the window decorations I found most interesting in the immediate area. Here is the first set.

Seeing the Light

This was an idea I had after perusing some various techniques for commercial photography. I didn't know if it would work, but I figured it would be worth a try anyway. The tricky part was firing the strobes to mimic the light fall I wanted to create. Once I got that, I just had to get the pose right.

Skylight

One of those moments where I had to take a photograph, if for nothing other than my own desire to see it again.

Tower

This is the Walnut Water Tower in Columbia. It holds 1 million gallons of water. The first image is a reflection of the tower in a puddle with snow floating on top. The second is a simple view of the tower itself.
